Qualifications

• Minimum 6–12 months retail or restaurant experience.
• Completion of Bakery Decorator Apprentice training or equivalent.
• Experience in professional bakery or grocery retail preferred.
• Proficient cake and pastry decorating with piping techniques.
• Strong color theory and buttercream coloring skills.
• Ability to follow recipes and maintain time management.
• Excellent knife handling and safety awareness.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fill, and finish/decorate cakes, tarts, pastries, and special-order items.
• Build, ice, and decorate cakes following standard procedures and maintain production records.
• Prioritize production lists and adjust as needed.
• Merchandise products in display cases and ensure freshness and rotation.
• Provide guidance for Apprentices and team members.
• Create special order cake designs based on customer preferences.
• Provide excellent customer service and handle inquiries promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of workspace and equipment.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned.
