Job summary

Kneads Bakeshop is expanding to Navy Yard, Washington, DC. The Barista/Sales Associate will mix and serve coffee, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to guests, and provide food service per Kneads standards.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, cashiering, stocking, and maintaining a clean, welcoming venue. Barista and bartender experience, plus liquor knowledge, enhance guest service and event capabilities.

Qualifications

• Previous barista & bartending experience.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Knowledge of liquor and preparation methods.
• Cash handling experience.
• Must be able to cashier and take customer orders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve all beverages (coffee, tea, cocktails) and food per Kneads guidelines.
• Greet and assist customers, ensuring a great guest experience.
• Handle all cashiering duties, including sales, returns, exchanges, and cash handling.
• Restock, tidy, and clean the workspace and dining area.
• Assist with inventory and communicate updates to Shift Leaders.
• Serve wine, beer, and cocktails at events as needed.
• Attend skill-building classes to enhance capabilities.
