Job summary

Pinehurst Resort is seeking a pastry/bakery associate to produce high-quality baked goods for the Carolina Hotel and Pinehurst Resort F&B outlets. You will bake items by operating a large oven, assemble showpieces and create wedding cakes under the guidance of the culinary team.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with at least two years in a bakery setting; supervisory experience is preferred. Ability to work across Pinehurst locations and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with a minimum of two years’ experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Bake items by operating a large oven.
• Fill requisitions from Resort outlets.
• Produce wedding cakes and assemble showpieces.
• Utilize knowledge of chocolate, sugar and pastillage.
• Produce cakes, pies, mousses, sauces and other pastries.
• Maintain regular attendance and coordinate daily production with the team.
