Hotel Du Pont in Wilmington, DE is seeking a Pastry Cook to join the Bake Shop team. You’ll craft pastries, breads, desserts for banquet and catering, and support two Spark'd locations inside the hotel. Our bakery operatives work with the Pastry Chef to deliver custom treats for guests and events.

Under the Pastry Chef, you’ll execute daily bake-offs, decorate cakes, stock pastries, and help develop new recipes while maintaining clean, safe kitchen operations and accommodating varying schedules.

Qualificações

• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Professional appearance and team-oriented mindset.
• Willingness to pitch in and assist colleagues as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull heavy carts.

Responsabilidades

• Daily bake-offs for retail and banquet desserts, breads, and pastries.
• Filling, decorating, and finishing of cakes and specialty pastries.
• Produce sauces, custards, ice creams, and garnishes per recipes.
• Maintain pastry, dessert, and bread pars per requisitions.
• Plan production schedule daily/weekly to stock the freezer.
• Read and follow Banquet Event Orders to fulfill menu needs.
• Contribute creatively to recipe development and maintain high standards.
• Keep the workspace clean and kitchen compliant with sanitation guidelines.
• Store, rotate, and label refrigerated foods properly; assist with restocking.
