Job summary

A Prep Cook prepares a variety of cold food items and assembled ingredients for the restaurant kitchens at Eataly, reporting to the Cafe Manager and Cafe leads. You will perform standard prep tasks to ensure timely service across outlets.

Responsibilities include washing, slicing, and portioning ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, following health regulations, and producing pizzas, panini, and desserts per recipes. On-site schedule may include evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of kitchen experience.
• Basic math skills.
• Good knife skills and finger dexterity to use small tools and utensils adeptly.

Responsibilities

• Washes, peels, slices and mix vegetables, fruits, meats, cheeses and other ingredients for salads, cold plates, side dishes, entrees, pizza and desserts.
• Cleans all utensils, preparation equipment and counters required for production.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.
• Prepares pizza allapala, panini and dessert according to specific recipes.
• Follows recipes and complies with portion sizes, quality standards, department rules and procedures and Department of Health regulations.
