Job summary

Eataly in New York is seeking a Prep Cook to prepare a variety of cold items and ingredients for distribution to the kitchens. Reports to the Sous Chef Manager and will handle vegetables, fruits, meats, and cheeses while following recipes and health regulations.

You'll work on an onsite team with flexible evenings, weekends, and holidays, and enjoy benefits including insurance, PTO, and meal perks. Compensation ranges from $17 to $19 per hour.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of kitchen experience.
• Basic math skills.
• Good knife skills and finger dexterity to use small tools.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Washes, peels, slices and mixes vegetables, fruits, meats and cheeses for salads and garnishes.
• Follows recipes, portion sizes, quality standards, and health regulations.
• Cleans utensils, equipment and counters used in production.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.
