Responsibilities include decorating, labeling, maintaining cleanliness, assisting apprentices, and working a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Efficient cake and pastry decorating skills.
• Intermediate piping techniques and decorative flowers/borders.
• Understand color theory for buttercream colors and palettes.
• Follow recipes, directions, and procedures with good time management.
• Strong knife handling and equipment safety.
• Basic math for recipe conversions and modifications.
• Strong communication and teamwork to meet customer needs.
• Deliver information clearly to team and customers.
• Meet customer service expectations in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fill, and finish/decorate cakes, tarts, and specialty items.
• Build and decorate cakes following standard procedures and records.
• Prioritize production lists and adjust as needed.
• Merchandise products in display cases and monitor freshness.
• Provide guidance to Apprentices and team members.
• Create special order cake designs per customer preferences.
• Deliver excellent customer service and respond to inquiries promptly.
• Maintain a clean, safe working and shopping environment.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties and pricing checks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
