Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Bakery Decorator to craft and decorate cakes, tarts and pastries, including special orders. You’ll follow strict quality standards while delivering outstanding service and delicious treats.

Expect to support the team, follow safety rules, and maintain clean, organized work and display areas. The role requires 6–12 months of retail/restaurant experience and completion of the Bakery Decorator Apprentice program or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Efficient cake and pastry decorating skills with intermediate piping techniques.
• Ability to mix and apply various icings and decorations.
• Strong time management and layout skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fill and finish cakes, tarts and special-order items.
• Build and decorate cakes following standard procedures and track production.
• Prioritize production lists and adjust as needed.
• Merchandise products and maintain display shelf quality.
• Provide guidance to Apprentice decorators and team members.
• Create custom designs based on customer preferences.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain cleanliness and safety.
