Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Kansas City is seeking a Bakery Team Member to prepare, decorate, and stock breads and pastries. You will decorate cakes, produce doughs and seasonal items, and ensure excellent customer service with a focus on cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities include preparing products, labeling, rotating inventory, and supporting a fast-paced bakery operation while adhering to SOPs and health regulations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of artisan breads and pastries, including cake decorating.
• Demonstrates positive attitude, energy, and passion for baking the best breads and pastries.
• Basic computer skills.
• Demonstrates a passion for cleanliness.
• Strong to excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Produces quality breads and pastries.
• Produces doughs, mixes, cakes, cookies, breakfast pastries, pies, and bars.
• Performs baking, cooling, wrapping, and labeling of products.
• Stocks dry products.
• Develops new recipes and production techniques for seasonal variance and productivity.
• Trains production personnel to high standards.
• Performs production planning and forecasting for events and holidays.
• Maintains production modules in the Datapax system.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling.
