Job summary

Grand Central Bakery in Seattle seeks a Delivery Driver 1 who upholds our 3 Steps to Great Service, delivers artisan bread safely, and manages multiple routes within time constraints.

You will operate company vehicles, handle invoices and cash, maintain vehicles and displays, respond to customer questions, and collaborate with managers to continuously improve delivery procedures while delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Maintains a valid Food Handler's Card and follows health guidelines
• Regular attendance and punctuality required
• Professional driving experience preferred
• 5 years driving experience with a clean record (WA/OR)
• Must pass company driver safety test
• Smith System training applied on the job

Responsibilities

• Deliver bakery products safely and on time across routes
• Operate vehicle following safety rules and Smith System techniques
• Pack and handle products accurately
• Process invoices and cash with accuracy
• Describe bread products and their properties
• Monitor quality and report issues to Delivery Coordinator
• Keep vehicle and displays clean and organized
• Address customer questions or complaints and escalate when needed
• Support sales by anticipating customer needs and suggestive selling
• Collaborate with management to improve delivery policies and procedures
