Job summary

City Bakery in Fletcher, NC is seeking a Delivery Driver to transport freshly baked goods to cafes and wholesale customers. You will work early mornings, mostly independently, while contributing to a collaborative team. You'll load the van, ensure on-time deliveries, collect invoices, and help with setup at destinations.

Responsibilities

• Assists packager with organizing deliveries
• Loads van with product according to delivery schedule
• Operates delivery vehicles safely and courteously
• Transports products to cafes and assists with product placement for smooth openings
• Delivers products to wholesale customers per delivery schedule and time frame
• Collects signed invoices and payments from customers
• Returns bakery trays and paperwork at end of shift
• Completes cleaning sidework
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds

Location: City Bakery, Fletcher, NC

Reports To: Production Manager, Delivery Manager

Shifts: Early mornings. PT or FT.

Requires: Clean, valid NC drivers license

The Role:

As a Delivery Driver, you will play an integral role in creating the heart and soul of our bakery: delivering great craft bread. This position is perfect for someone who loves to work independently, but is also passionate about contributing to a collaborative and creative environment. You’ll work alongside our talented delivery team to ensure that each loaf, baguette, and roll gets delivered in a safe, friendly, timely manner.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements:

• Assists packager with organizing deliveries
• Loads van with product according to delivery schedule

• Delivers product to wholesale customers adhering to delivery schedule and desired delivery time frame
