Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Los Angeles is seeking a bakery/food prep team member to measure, mix, and bake products, ensuring quality and consistency with WFM standards. You will assist customers, manage proper temps, and help with merchandising while following health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities include opening/closing duties, log maintenance, and a strong emphasis on teamwork and timely service. Flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, is required.

Qualifications

• 6–12 months retail experience.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Measure, mix, and prepare raw materials per recipes.
• Forms, cuts, bakes dough.
• Monitor temperatures and proof box humidity.
• Ensure products meet quality standards.
• Maintain logs for temp, sweep, sanitation.
• Provide courteous customer service and upsell; answer phones promptly.
• Stock, rotate, merchandise products according to procedures.
• Follow health, sanitation, and safety procedures including Weights and Measures.
• Keep a clean, sanitary working and shopping environment; maintain equipment.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties; verify signage and pricing.
• Report safety hazards and violations as soon as observed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
