Job summary

Bethany’s Bakery in Maryland seeks a dedicated Baker/Prep Baker to join our hands-on production team. You’ll work closely with our Executive Chef / Lead Baker to prepare consistent, high-quality items from approved recipes and daily sheets.

You’ll scale ingredients, bake cookies, bars, breads, and pastries, follow production schedules, maintain clean stations, and uphold food-safety standards, including allergen-control and proper labeling.

Qualifications

• Hands-on production experience in bakery.
• Ability to follow recipes and production sheets.
• Attention to detail in measuring and portioning.
• Knowledge of food-safety practices and allergen-control.

Responsibilities

• Scale and prepare ingredients using digital scales and approved recipes.
• Mix and prepare cookies, brownies, bars, breads, and pastry components.
• Portion, bake, cool, finish, label, and store products.
• Assist with dough handling and laminated pastry production as trained.
• Follow production sheets, bake schedules, and priorities; maintain clean workstations.
• Record yields, waste, shortages, and quality concerns.
• Communicate progress and issues to the Executive Chef / Lead Baker.
