Job summary

Charlotte's Bakery in Dubuque, IA is seeking a full-time Baker to join our hands-on kitchen from open to close. You’ll prepare breads and pastries, manage proofing and baking schedules, and ensure every item meets our quality standards.

Strong work ethic and reliability are essential. Ideal candidates will have baking or pastry experience, the ability to work early mornings, and a willingness to obtain a Food Handler certification if needed.

Qualifications

• Previous baking or pastry experience preferred, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn matter more.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake breads, pastries, and other baked goods according to recipes and quality standards.
• Manage proofing, baking, and cooling schedules to keep product flowing all day.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen.
• Monitor inventory and flag ingredient needs before they become a problem.
• Ensure every item that leaves the kitchen meets our presentation and quality bar.
