Qualifications

• 1–2 years as a baker or bakery background preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary or baking training preferred.
• Knowledge of yeasts and other pre-ferments encouraged.
• Customer service oriented and enjoy working in a student-oriented environment.
• Must be dependable and reliable.
• Ability to make desserts from scratch.
• Experienced in production line baking or food processing.
• Must be knowledgeable about proper food handling and safety guidelines.
• Detail oriented with ability to follow directions for equipment and recipe production.

Responsibilities

• Produce standard baked goods such as cakes, cookies, biscuits, muffins and puddings.
• Assist in developing new recipes and menu items when applicable.
• Unload, clean and operate mixers.
• Maintain daily production and sanitation sheets to ensure procedures are met.
• Assist with cleaning the kitchen and maintaining sanitary work area.
• Meet or exceed HACCP sanitation and safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to meet production deadlines.
• Other duties as required & assigned.
