Job summary

Giant Eagle in Pittsburgh is seeking a Bakery Team Member to help bake, assemble, and display fresh bakery items while delivering excellent guest service. You will work with scratch recipes and standard procedures to ensure quality and consistency for our guests.

Responsibilities include preparing products, operating baking equipment, and maintaining cleanliness and safety. Prior bakery experience is preferred; 18+ and lifting up to 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Experience: 6–12 months or Giant Eagle Apprenticeship program.

Responsibilities

• Perform bench work according to scratch procedures.
• Prepare and form products to specifications.
• Bake products according to recipe and time/temperature.
• Prepare Bakery products from scratch as per recipes.
• Operate proof box controls and ensure proper size/shape.
• Fry donuts following established procedures.
• Maintain freshness by proper freezer handling.
• Answer questions and offer guest assistance.
