Position Summary

As the Assistant Bread Baker, you are responsible for assisting in the operation and production of the bakery section of the kitchen.

Responsible for creating high-quality products using Bern's Steak House standard recipes while maintaining quality standards and consistency. Assist in producing high-volume demands.

Baker Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the bakery section.
  • Prepare a variety of baked goods such as breads, specialty items, muffins, Danish, croissants, and doughnuts.
  • Ensure excellent product quality.
  • Follow proper food handling and temperature protocols.
  • Check raw and cooked food quality to meet standards.
  • Report equipment issues, safety hazards, or unsafe practices immediately.
  • Attend all scheduled employee meetings.

Education

High school diploma required.

Experience

Minimum 2 years in high-volume baking. A degree in Culinary Arts or related field is a plus but not required.
