Job summary

Family Health West is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Arthritis & Rheumatology department in Fruita, CO. This full-time, on-site role requires assisting physicians, taking vital signs, recording patient data, and supporting the care team to improve patient outcomes.

Candidates should have a High School diploma, an active Medical Assistant certification, and current BLS certification. Prior hands-on MA experience is preferred, with competitive benefits and a community-focused culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current Medical Assistant Certification and/or Registration is required.
• Current BLS Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Check daily schedule and attend as scheduled.
• Record vital signs, height/weight, intake/output, and collect specimens as directed.
• Assist Physician and clinic staff to meet patient needs and provide medical assistance within scope of practice.
• Transport patients within the facility for imaging and lab services.
• Provide patient education as directed by the physician.
• Support other clinical team members as needed and participate in staff development.

Education
