Job summary

The University of Virginia invites applications for the Art@Work Graduate Coordinator, a part-time, 6-8 hour weekly role for the 2026-2027 academic year. This position is eligible as a FWS assignment and supports placing local art in UVA spaces across departments and facilities.

Reporting to the Art@Work core team, you will help schedule meetings, manage logistics with facilities, document acquisitions, assist with outreach and social media, and support budget monitoring.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled full-time at the University of Virginia as a graduate student in a masters or Ph.D. program.
• Excellent organizational skills with emphasis on notetaking, record-keeping, and scheduling.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong written communication and social media experience.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Valid driver's license or willingness to obtain one on hire.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Art@Work Committee and core team; schedules meetings and takes notes.
• Manages logistics of acquiring, storing, lending, moving, and installing art with Facilities Management.
• Maintains lending library; documents acquisitions; drafts site host/loan agreements; coordinates deliveries and displays.
• Supports outreach: administers email, maintains website, writes/relays press releases, curates Instagram posts.
• Assists in finance and procurement: monitors budget and spending.
