Job summary

Del Mar College is seeking Student Assistants to monitor gallery visitors and protect artworks in the Art Gallery. This is a continuous pool for as-needed assignments; applicants will be contacted to schedule interviews when needed. Salary is $9.00 per hour and the posting remains open until filled.

Must be a current Del Mar College student enrolled in at least 6 credit hours. Responsibilities include daily visitor counts, assisting with mailers, and supporting the Gallery Director as needed.

Qualifications

• Current Del Mar College student enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours while employed.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring all gallery visitors as they view the exhibitions in the gallery and the conditions in the gallery to prevent damage to artworks.
• Maintain cleanliness in the gallery.
• Keep a daily count of visitors.
• Assisting with exhibition mailers.
• Assisting the Gallery Director as needed.
