Job summary

21c Museum Hotels in Louisville, KY is seeking an Event Server to deliver exceptional guest service during events. You will work with the Event Captain and Manager to execute service steps, take orders, serve food and drinks, and ensure a seamless experience for all guests.

The role requires friendly communication, a professional appearance, knowledge of beverages, and the ability to carry trays and stand for long periods.

• Basic math skills required.
• Strong communication skills in English (read, speak, understand).
• Clean and professional appearance.
• Enthusiasm for all things 21c.

Responsibilities

• Hands on execution of event while working with other B&C teammates.
• Interacts with Event Captains and Event Manager throughout function to ensure excellent event service.
• Fulfills setup and teardown of events per BEO, Req sheet, and Event Captain.
• Provides excellent customer service to all hotel/restaurant guests, not just event attendees.
• Takes orders from guests, serves food and drinks, and clears tables as necessary.
• Follows the steps of service for each event type.
• Demonstrates knowledge of procedures, terminology and techniques used in the B&C department.
• Demonstrates knowledge of ingredients of all food and beverage items served and available for the function.
• Knows hours, features and services offered by 21c Museum Hotels.
• Maintains a positive, proactive attitude in any situation.
• Able to work in a team for large events and solo for smaller meetings.
