Job summary

University of St. Francis is seeking an Art & Design Student Worker to assist in the Mac digital lab, support students and faculty in studio art classes, and help manage exhibitions at the MPAC Gallery in Joliet.

The role involves coordinating with faculty, preparing studio classes, and assisting with art show installations. Ideal candidates are Art & Design majors or minors with knowledge of studio practices and digital media, and a willingness to collaborate with the gallery manager in Tower

Qualifications

• Preferably an Art & Design major or minor.
• Knowledge of studio art practices.
• Understanding of digital media.
• Willingness to work with the person managing the art gallery in Tower Hall

Responsibilities

• Update software in the Mac digital lab with Art & Design faculty.
• Assist students and faculty in studio art classes.
• Maintain the MPAC GalleryL at the Tower Hall facility.
• Layout exhibitions for MPAC shows.
• Assist faculty with studio class preparation.
• Assist with installations of art shows at the MPAC - Moser Performing Arts Center Gallery.

Responsibilities

• Work with Art & Design faculty to update software in the Mac digital lab
• Assist students and faculty in studio art classes
• Work with faculty to maintain the Moser Performing Arts Center (MPAC) GalleryL
• Layout exhibitions
• Assist faculty with studio class preparation
• Assist with the installations of art shows at the MPAC - Moser Performing Arts Center Gallery.

Minimum Requirements

• Preferably an Art & Design major or minor.
• Knowledge of studio art practices.
• Understanding of digital media.
• Willingness to work with the person managing the art gallery in Tower Hall

Preferred Requirements

• Junior or senior standing as an Art & Design major.
• Eligible for federal work-study.

Pay Rate Hourly: $15.00
