Job summary

YMCA of Greater Brandywine is seeking a part-time program assistant at Jennersville YMCA in West Grove, PA. The role involves planning and leading activities, maintaining records, and ensuring safety and engagement for youth participants.

You will support program operations, communicate with families, and promote YMCA offerings while upholding policies and quality standards. A strong background in art instruction and youth programs is preferred.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age with high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in relevant field or medium, including ability to demonstrate.
• Minimum of 2 years teaching art classes.
• Training, experience, or qualifications in the specialized instruction area.
• Ability to effectively use technology for programmatic needs.
• Obtain and maintain all new hires certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes and leads activities, routines and/or games for all participants.
• Leads with enthusiasm and positive motivation in program.
• Organizes and maintains program records (attendance, rosters, etc.).
• Manages all tools, materials, and equipment.
• Maintains a clean and risk-free environment.
• Communicates effectively with participants and parents.
• Ensures all children are picked up by a parent.
• Promotes other YMCA programs and referrals.
• Ensures compliance with YMCA policies and procedures.
