Job summary

The Access and Wellbeing Programs Coordinator at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, works part-time to plan, teach, and coordinate programs for visitors with disabilities and wellbeing initiatives.

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Accessibility, you will manage logistics, educators, and communications, while ensuring inclusive experiences for diverse audiences, including Artful Healing and Beyond the Spectrum.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in museum education, special education, art education, studio art, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience planning and leading education art programs for people with disabilities.
• Excellent curriculum development including latest best practices and adaptations.
• Administrative experience with strong technology and organizational skills.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and teach art programs for visitors of all ages off-site, virtually and in-gallery.
• Coordinate logistics for access programs including emails, meetings, spaces, supplies, contracts and invoices.
• Ensure web events and communications are updated.
• Schedule educators and volunteers for programs and events.
• Answer inquiries from visitors regarding accessibility at the Museum.
• Maintain accessibility tools and spaces.
• Track and report data related to program attendance.
• Support Community Engagement programs and events as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
