Job summary

The role requires ARRT certification, state license, and BLS. You may assist in teaching students and staff, follow strict QC and coding protocols, and contribute to a culture of excellence in patient care.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification and state license required.
• BLS certification required for healthcare providers.
• MA Competency Checklist may be required for clinic/InstaCare settings.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT or modality-specific competency in clinical/technical functions.
• Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam.
• Performs exams per department protocol and reviews images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment.
• Assists and instructs students and other Radiology Techs in exam protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment.
• Provides appropriate patient education, ensures patient comfort, and addresses concerns.
• Follows protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and reporting equipment failures.
