Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks a Radiology Technologist at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, CO to perform diagnostic imaging exams and ensure high-quality results. You will work with radiologists and care teams to maintain safety and accuracy while educating patients and supporting training.

Required ARRT certification, state licensure, and BLS, with opportunities to advance within the imaging service line and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required.
• Radiologic technologist license in state of practice.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• May be required to complete MA Competency Checklist and function as an MA in a clinic or InstaCare setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT competency in all clinical/technical functions.
• Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares patient for exam.
• Performs exams per department protocol; reviews images for quality, clarity and accuracy.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe workspace.
• Completes studies within time standards without compromising care or quality.
• Assists and instructs students and other radiology staff on protocols and positioning.
• Provides patient education, ensures comfort, and addresses concerns.
• Implements infection control and sterile techniques.
• Operates equipment and information systems to ensure quality images.
• Keeps accurate records of patient information and procedures.
• Follows protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC, and reporting equipment failures.
