Qualifications

• ARRT certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic imaging exams per department protocol.
• Ensures correct patient identification and exam preparation.
• Reviews images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe environment.
• Completes studies within time limits without compromising care.
• Assists students and other technologists with procedures and positioning.
• Provides patient education and ensures comfort.
• Maintains infection control and sterile technique.
• Operates equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images.
• Maintains accurate records of procedures and any adverse reactions.
• Follows coding, charging, consents, QC, and reports equipment failures.
