Job summary

Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Radiology Support Coordinator to join the day shift. The role involves operating and maintaining imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, and coordinating with the healthcare team to produce high-quality diagnostic images.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of radiologic technologist experience, ARRT certification, and strong patient-care and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of clinical Radiologic Technologist experience required.
• 3–5 years in an Invasive Lab setting preferred.
• ARRT certification and state licensure required where applicable.
• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains radiographic equipment during procedures.
• Educates patients and families about procedures and instructions.
• Assists management with in-service training on radiology equipment and safety.
• Performs invasive imaging procedures as needed with safety compliance.
• Monitors vital signs during procedures and relays data to staff.
• Maintains accurate patient records and procedure documentation.
• Ensures required paperwork is signed and dated by physicians.
• Checks radiology equipment before use for safety.
• Provides guidance and supports team, resolving conflicts.
• Performs other duties and maintains reliable attendance.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
