Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging exams in a fast-paced hospital setting in Grand Junction, Colorado. You will work with radiologists and clinicians to deliver high-quality images while maintaining patient comfort and safety.

The role requires ARRT certification, state licensure as applicable, and BLS. You will ensure proper patient identification, adhere to protocols, and support education for students and staff in a collaborative imaging

Qualifications

• ARRT certification and active radiologic license required.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers required.
• May be required to complete MA Competency Checklist and perform MA functions in a clinic or InstaCare setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions.
• Prepares and identifies patients for exams, ensuring proper order verification.
• Performs exams per department protocol and reviews images for quality and accuracy.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment.
• Assists and instructs students and other Radiology Techs in exam protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment.
• Provides patient education, ensures comfort, and addresses concerns.
• Practices infection control and sterile techniques.
• Operates equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images.
• Keeps accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and adverse reactions.
• Follows protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and reporting equipment failures.
