Job summary

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology and ARRT Mammography registry within six months of hire required.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient ID armband and validate proof of identity.
• Review mammography medical history and correlate prior mammograms to ensure the correct examination is being performed.
• Perform digital imaging acquisition and recognize factors that affect image acquisition, display, archiving, and retrieval.
• Evaluate technical quality of images and consult with a radiologist if needed.
• Assist radiologist during invasive procedures and maintain sterile technique in assembling supplies.
• Report malfunctioning equipment to the department supervisor; troubleshoot under direction of clinical engineering.
• Maintain patient records, charge exams and supplies and verify correct exam was sent to PACS.
