Arriba Abajo is a Cantina-themed Bar and Restaurant located inside the Thompson and Tommie Austin, two premier lifestyle hotels in Downtown Austin. This new concept will open in early Spring, offering 17,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor dining and lounge space, multiple venues for private events, and a pool deck serving hotel guests and residents.

The Arriba Abajo Hosts are responsible for welcoming guests and creating a positive first impression. They influence the overall restaurant experience through interactions such as providing table accommodations and menu recommendations. Hosts may be the final point of contact, ensuring guest satisfaction. Experience as a restaurant greeter or hostess is valuable for this role.

The Hotels

Staying at a Thompson Hotel feels like being a resident, with intuitive service that offers a tailored experience to enhance personal travel journeys and connect guests with the local scene. Thompson Austin features 212 luxury guestrooms and suites, 17 residences, a wellness center, three restaurant and bar concepts, an expansive pool deck with private cabanas, and over 10,000 square feet of event space.

The 193-king room Tommie Austin is designed for spirited adventurers, encouraging exploration of Austin’s offerings. It features art and atmosphere inspired by the neighborhood, a bespoke coffee and wine shop, and a warm, authentic service experience.

Both hotels feature a ground-floor cantina-themed restaurant, a 13,000 sq ft indoor/outdoor oasis, The 5th Street Diner + The Royale Room serving daily fare, a residential tower named Sienna, retail space, and a state-of-the-art fitness center and simulator room called the “T” Box.
