Arriba Abajo is a Cantina-themed Bar and Restaurant located inside the Thompson and Tommie Austin, two premier lifestyle hotels in Downtown Austin. This new concept will open in early Spring, featuring 17,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor dining and lounge space, multiple venues for private events, and a pool deck serving hotel guests and residents.

The Arriba Abajo Restaurant Busser primarily assists the Food Server in serving guests. The role requires good communication skills and the ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weights. It is a fast-paced position with continuous customer contact.

The Hotels

Staying at a Thompson Hotel feels like being a resident. Each guest receives tailored service that enhances their personal travel experience and connects them to the local culture. Thompson Austin offers 212 luxury guestrooms and suites, 17 residences, a 10,000 sq ft wellness center, three restaurant and bar concepts, an expansive pool deck with private cabanas, and over 10,000 sq ft of flexible event space.

The 193-king room Tommie Austin is designed for spirited adventurers. Guests are encouraged to explore Austin’s offerings, with art and atmosphere inspired by the neighborhood. Tommie features a bespoke coffee and wine shop, allowing guests to customize their stay while enjoying warm, authentic service.

Both hotels are anchored by a reimagined cantina-themed restaurant, a 13,000 sq ft indoor and outdoor oasis, along with The 5th Street Diner and The Royale Room, serving daily fare for locals, residents, and guests. The project also includes a residential tower – Sienna – 10,000 sq ft of retail space, and a 7,000 sq ft state-of-the-art fitness center and simulator room called the “T” Box.
