ConocoPhillips is seeking a 24-Hour Power Trader to optimize a North American power portfolio through real-time and day-ahead market activities in a fully onsite Houston role.

You will manage physical and financial power transactions, monitor market fundamentals, and collaborate with traders, schedulers, asset managers, and operations to deliver commercial results while maintaining risk controls and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, or a related field required.
• 3+ years in energy markets, power markets, commodities trading, asset optimization, scheduling, marketing, or related functions.
• Experience evaluating market pricing, risk exposure, and commercial opportunities.

Responsabilités

• Optimize portfolio positions across day-ahead and real-time power markets to maximize asset performance.
• Execute physical and financial power transactions consistent with strategies and risk limits.
• Monitor market fundamentals, transmission constraints, and generation availability to support decisions.
• Manage hourly, day-ahead, and short-term market exposures for generation and load-serving assets.
• Identify market opportunities through analysis of pricing dynamics and portfolio positions.
