Job summary

Macquarie's North Americas Gas and Power team seeks a Senior ERCOT Power Trader in Houston or Minneapolis. You will develop and execute trading strategies across ERCOT markets, leveraging fundamentals, weather, generation economics, and market structure to identify opportunities.

You will collaborate with originators, analysts, and risk managers to generate risk-adjusted returns while maintaining compliance with risk frameworks. Hybrid/flexible work arrangements are available.

Qualifications

Extensive ERCOT power market trading experience.
Strong risk management discipline across large portfolios.
Excellent quantitative, analytical, and rapid-decision skills.
Deep understanding of ERCOT dynamics: congestion, nodal pricing, generation economics.

Responsibilities

As senior trader, develop and execute short-term and long-term ERCOT trading strategies.
Analyze load, weather, generation, fuel, and regulation to identify opportunities.
Collaborate with analytics, risk, and tech teams to refine market views and forecasts.
