Job summary

Appian is seeking a Solution Architect to support the U.S. Army and federal customers, defining integrated Appian solutions across mission processes and data ecosystems.

You will connect legacy systems with Appian capabilities, driving modernization and agile delivery across enterprise environments. The role requires deep cloud experience (AWS/GCP/Azure), federal programs leadership, and strong communication to translate customer needs into technical roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience advising customers on design and implementation of government cloud computing platforms, and at least 10 years of multi-tier application design and architecture.
• Experience with architecting secure cloud-based hosting solutions for federal customers using AWS, GCP, and/or Azure; leadership in enterprise cloud environments.
• Experience authoring federal proposals and whitepapers; strong agile delivery experience (Scrum/SAFe).

Responsibilities

• Advise on technical design, architecture and implementation of Appian solutions for federal customers.
• Support sales with high-value, differentiated solutions and delivery roadmaps.
• Present and vet integrated solutions and complex technical concepts to customers.
• Support configuration, testing, deployment and operations of Appian applications using agile practices.
• Lead development of Appian Customer Success innovations and offerings for delivery capabilities.
