The U.S. Army General Surgeon position places you at the forefront of a world-class military health care team in Decatur, GA, delivering patient care and leading surgical innovations for Soldiers, retirees and their families.

As a General Surgeon, you examine, diagnose, consult, and perform surgeries while pursuing ongoing education and collaboration with colleagues. This role supports Active Duty or Army Reserve service with robust compensation and benefits for you and your family.

Qualifications

• Must hold Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school
• Board certification eligibility required
• Current license to practice medicine in U.S./ DC/PR
• Completed at least one year of GME internship
• Completed training in general surgery
• U.S. citizenship required for Active Duty
• Permanent U.S. residency for Army Reserve

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, consult, and prescribe courses of treatment
• Perform surgical procedures for Soldiers, retirees and families
• Participate in ongoing education, trainings, seminars, and conferences
• Collaborate with colleagues to advance surgical practice within the Army Medical Corps
