Job summary

Apogee Engineering, LLC in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, seeks a Policy Analyst (Air Force Special Operations Command) to provide full-time, on-site arms control subject-matter expertise to HAF/A10 and other DoD units, supporting policy development and dissemination.

The role covers policy formulation, implementation, exercises, training, acquisition, analysis, and interagency liaison, with on-site presence at Hurlburt Field. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Qualifications

• Citizenship: US citizen required.
• Security Clearance: Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
• Education: Bachelor's degree; Master’s preferred.
• Experience: Ten (10) years in the respective technical/professional discipline; include five (5) years DoD experience.

Responsibilities

• Policy Formulation & Dissemination: research and analyze policy/technical issues; liaison between AFFSOC, HAF, DoW, and interagency forums.
• Implementation & Compliance: advise on treaty implementation and compliance; inputs to ACES.
• Exercise & Inspection Support: plan/manage annual exercises; provide on-site assistance.
• Education & Training: deliver updated training materials for AFFSOC.
• Modernization & Acquisition: coordinate with PEOs and SPOs on treaties and program impacts.
• Analysis & Research: produce treaty analysis papers and impact assessments.
• Conference & Meeting Support: logistical support for AFFSOC-sponsored events; prepare materials and after-action reports.
• Policy Analysis & Recommendation: ongoing policy reviews with formal comments.
• Interagency Liaison: represent AFFSOC in CRGs, IWGs, and interagency meetings.
