Job summary

Allied Universal in Burgaw, NC is seeking a Security Officer Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver to safeguard clients across Government and other sites. This full-time driving role requires a valid armed license, steady composure, and excellent communication to deter incidents.

You will conduct patrols, monitor access, respond to incidents, complete clear reports, and uphold Allied Universal’s people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

Qualifications

• Valid armed guard card or license is required.
• At least 6 months armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required per Allied Universal policy.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen will be required.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to facility staff, residents, visitors, and other stakeholders by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking locations to deter unauthorised activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, document visitor and contractor activity, and report suspicious behavior or policy violations.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain logs regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities.
