Job summary

Loomis is seeking an Armed Vault Custodian for a PM shift (Mon-Fri, 3pm-11pm) to maintain inventory in cash vaults for Loomis customers. You will work with a team to ensure accurate handling of deposits and change shipments.

Responsibilities include counting, signing receipts, loading/unloading cargo, and communicating with staff and customers. A firearms permit or ability to meet state requirements is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to load/unload currency, checks, and coin weighing about 50 lbs per item during a 6–10 hour shift.
• Ability to push wagons and carts with cargo weighing up to several hundred pounds.
• Must be able to stand on concrete floor ~80% of shift and move between bins/vaults.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to read receipts, manifests, and reports.
• Must meet state handgun license/permit or Security Officer Commission requirements.
• A Human Performance Evaluation (HPE) will be required as part of the qualification process.

Responsibilities

• Check identifying numbers or seals on deposits against receipts or manifests.
• Count items, record amounts and serial numbers, sign and date receipts and manifests.
• Load/unload bags/boxes of coin; sort cargo by route.
• Communicate with co-workers and customers by telephone.
• Maintain vault inventory and prepare reports.
