Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Vehicle Security Officer for a Transit Site in San Jose, CA. This full-time role involves patrolling transit facilities by vehicle and on foot, maintaining a visible security presence, and delivering excellent customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors.

You will respond to incidents and alarms, monitor access points, and follow site procedures while carrying approved equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Armed guard card or license is required.
• 40 caliber endorsement is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background and drug screening will be conducted as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors while following site-specific security procedures.
• Conduct armed patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm, professional manner and notify appropriate responders.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity or policy violations per site procedures.
• Carry and maintain authorized equipment in compliance with laws and Allied Universal policies.
