Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed Patrol) in San Jose, CA. You will provide on-site security, assist passengers and staff, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents at a public transportation location.

CPR response and customer service are key to this role. The position requires a guard card or license (preferred), CPR certification (preferred), a high school diploma or equivalent, and willingness to undergo background checks and drug screening as

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screen required where allowed by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and employees while carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents and service disruptions in a calm, professional manner following reporting procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting suspicious behavior and policy violations.
• Document patrols and incidents accurately and maintain communication with transit personnel and public.
