Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol in Birmingham, AL to safeguard clients across various facilities and transportation locations. The role emphasizes professional conduct, visible patrols, and responsive incident handling.

You will perform scheduled and random armed patrols, monitor access points, and report incidents with accuracy while delivering strong customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors.

Qualifications

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, visitors, and government transportation facility personnel while carrying out site-specific policies, security-related procedures, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, parking areas, vehicle access points, platforms, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity at assigned locations, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with emergency responders and law enforcement as needed.
• Maintain required armed post equipment and complete accurate reports, incident documentation, and shift activity logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
