Allied Universal in Bessemer, AL is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Licensed Patrol to safeguard clients across a technology-focused location. You will patrol, monitor access, and respond to security concerns while delivering professional customer service.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Loss prevention experience preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• State/city security license preferred.
• 18+ years for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check as required by law; drug screen to extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as required, maintain visitor and contractor records, and report suspicious activity or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and complete accurate incident reports.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership while supporting a welcoming and orderly environment.
