Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Driver Perimeter Response in San Jose, CA to safeguard transit facilities and serve the public. This full-time driving role combines patrols, incident response, and customer service, with a focus on maintaining safety and visibility across perimeters and facilities.

You will work daytime schedule as listed, carry an armed security role, and comply with post orders and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Armed security experience or related law enforcement background.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Armed guard card or license required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• 40 caliber endorsement required.
• Background check and drug screening per law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to transit riders, visitors, employees, and contractors by following security procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, and perimeters.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances calmly and professionally following post orders.
• Monitor access points and restrict unauthorized entry; report suspicious activity.
• Prepare clear activity and incident reports and communicate with site contacts and authorities.
