Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Driver Perimeter Response in San Jose, CA to safeguard transit facilities and serve the public. You will work daytime schedule as listed, carry an armed security role, and comply with post orders and state regulations.

• 40 caliber endorsement required.
• Background check and drug screening per law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to transit riders, visitors, employees, and contractors by following security procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, and perimeters.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances calmly and professionally following post orders.
• Monitor access points and restrict unauthorized entry; report suspicious activity.
• Prepare clear activity and incident reports and communicate with site contacts and authorities.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Driver Perimeter Response in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a public transportation location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service. What Youd0ll Do

• Provide customer service to transit riders, visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, administrative spaces, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable post orders and escalation protocols.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorized entry when required, and report unauthorized access or suspicious behavior.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant information to site contacts, dispatch, and public agencies as directed.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a 40 caliber endorsement.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
