Job summary

Allied Universal® is hiring an Armed Security Officer in Maryland for weekend hours on Saturdays and Sundays from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

This role requires a handgun permit in Maryland and at least three years of law enforcement, military, or private armed security experience. The position offers an hourly pay rate of $38.02 and includes responsibilities such as patrolling, enforcing rules, and safeguarding people and assets.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Handgun permit is required for Maryland.
• Minimum of three years of law enforcement, military, or private armed security experience.
• Must be 21 years of age or older (state-dependent).
• Excellent communication skills; able to articulate and write clear incident reports.
• Must complete all range qualifications and functions.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information.
• Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure protection of people and assets.
• Preserve order and enforce site rules and directives.
• Maintain proficiency with all assigned protective equipment and weapons.
• Greet guests and employees; escort visitors and contractors; secure ingress/egress points and classified information.
• Report safety concerns and incidents; coordinate with client or other security personnel.
