Dunbar Security Solutions in Harmans, MD is hiring a Part-time Unarmed Security Officer (Flex Officer) to protect our frontline operations in the DC/Montgomery area. The role offers weekend shifts with a 7am-3pm or 3pm-11pm schedule, and pays $18.00 per hour.

This is a front desk/entry point position requiring a professional demeanor and reliable attendance. You will greet visitors, enforce access control, monitor cameras and alarms, maintain visitor logs and badges, document incidents, and

Qualifications

• Greet all visitors, guests, and staff in a professional, courteous, and respectful manner
• Monitor building entry points to ensure only authorized individuals are permitted access
• Operate and monitor surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and communication devices
• Respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations, including medical incidents, disturbances, or fire alarms

Responsibilities

• Greet all visitors, guests, and staff in a professional, courteous, and respectful manner
• Monitor building entry points to ensure only authorized individuals are permitted access
• Maintain visitor logs, issue badges, and verify appointments or service details
• Serve as the first point of contact for inquiries, directing guests appropriately or notifying relevant personnel
• Observe and report any suspicious behavior, safety hazards, or unusual activity at the front entrance or lobby
• Operate and monitor surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and communication devices
• Maintain a calm, welcoming presence during sensitive services or high-traffic times
• Assist with coordinating funeral service logistics, including helping guests with directions or parking information when needed
• Enforce facility policies and protocols while maintaining discretion and empathy
• Respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations, including medical incidents, disturbances, or fire alarms
• Complete daily shift reports, incident logs, and documentation of any irregular activity
• Collaborate with other security personnel and management to maintain a safe, peaceful environment
• Ensure front desk area remains clean, organized, and professional at all times
• Perform additional security-related tasks as assigned by supervisors
