Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks an Armed Installation Security Officer to protect personnel, visitors, facilities, and property at Fort Indiantown Gap. You will perform armed patrols, control access points, respond to incidents, operate security equipment, coordinate with law enforcement, and document activities.

Minimum two years of security or related experience is required, plus licenses and certifications (NCIC, CLEAN/JNET, CAC, First Aid/CPR) to be obtained within the probationary

Qualifications

• Two years of security, law enforcement, or military experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Active motor vehicle license is required.
• Active NCIC certification within probationary period and ongoing throughout employment.
• Active CLEAN and JNET certifications within probationary period and ongoing throughout employment.
• Common Access Card (CAC) required within probationary period.
• First Aid and CPR certification within probationary period.

Responsibilities

• Security Patrols: Conduct armed patrols on foot or in a vehicle to maintain safety across the installation.
• Access Control: Manage entry points, operate barrier systems, and support visitor processing according to regulations.
• Incident Response: Report hazards or unusual activity and take appropriate action based on policy.
• Equipment Operation: Operate patrol vehicles, communication systems, alarm monitoring tools, CCTV, and related equipment.
• Coordination: Work with federal, state, county, and local law enforcement and emergency service providers.
• Documentation: Prepare security reports and maintain required logs and forms.
