Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania at Fort Indiantown Gap seeks an Armed Installation Security Officer to provide protective services for personnel, visitors, facilities, and property. You will perform armed patrols, control access, respond to incidents, and operate security hardware as part of a coordinated team.

The role requires at least two years of security experience, an active motor vehicle license, and certifications including NCIC, CLEAN/JNET, CAC, and weapons qualifications.

Qualifications

• Two years of security, law enforcement, or military experience or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Active motor vehicle license required.
• Must obtain NCIC certification within probationary period and maintain it for duration of employment.
• Must obtain CLEAN and JNET certifications within probationary period and maintain them for duration of employment.
• Must obtain a CAC within probationary period and maintain access for duration of employment.
• Must pass initial and semiannual weapons qualification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct armed patrols on foot or in a vehicle to maintain safety across the installation.
• Manage entry points, operate barrier systems, and support visitor processing according to regulations.
• Report hazards or unusual activity and take appropriate action based on policy.
• Operate patrol vehicles, communication systems, alarm monitoring tools, CCTV, and related equipment.
• Coordinate with federal, state, county, and local law enforcement and emergency services.
• Prepare security reports and maintain required logs and forms.
