Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of Military and Veterans Affairs seeks an Armed Installation Security Officer at Fort Indiantown Gap. You will provide armed security to protect personnel, visitors, facilities and property, supporting safety and mission readiness every day.

Two years of security, law enforcement, or military experience are required, along with a valid motor vehicle license and certifications (NCIC, CLEAN/JNET, CAC) within the probationary period.

Qualifications

• Two years of security, law enforcement, or military experience; or an equivalent combination.
• Active motor vehicle license required.
• You must obtain NCIC, CLEAN and JNET certifications within the probationary period and maintain them.
• You must obtain a CAC and pass all pre-employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Security Patrols: Conduct armed patrols on foot or in a vehicle to maintain safety across the installation.
• Access Control: Manage entry points, operate barrier systems, and support visitor processing.
• Incident Response: Report hazards or unusual activity and take appropriate action per policy.
• Equipment Operation: Operate patrol vehicles, communications, CCTV and related equipment.
• Coordination: Work with federal, state, county, and local law enforcement and EMS providers.
• Documentation: Prepare security reports and maintain required logs and forms.
